Why does my game not starting ?

BF2 does not start even though I uninstalled the game and re-installed 3 times, checked event log files (incase of any errors), did that error fixing thing called diesoft and it still does not work. What is the problem ? Check the video please :

probably u are missing some files that why game wont start...try to find some other installation for bf2.....https://www.battlelog.co
before all that...first try to reinstall the game ..but this time leave the profiles only...delete the rest,even in folder where the game is installed

I'm installing the game with revive file I downloaded (2,6 gb) and no missing files at all. Any other option to make an installation ?

Update the  DirectX 9.

Either that, or you should try to run BF2 directly from the installation folder (bf2.exe).

I have DX11 installed, my graphic card supports dx 10.1 or 10.2

Radeon HD 4870

Did you installed some updates?

Dx 10/10.1/11 is the same... Without dx9 the game wont run, no matter what you do.

Have you tried to update dx using Microsoft tool?

Fight Men, as you know if you have a higher version of DX, lower versions still work right ?

if not lemme know dude cos i dunno how to uninstall DX11 and re-install DX9.

i'll suggest you to used bf2 hub ..its 100 percent works..i must used this since gamespy shudown..i and every time the  game are not working..i wrote him by email..actually all the information that fill up in bf2 hub is truly honest and its my personal..try it and i promise you would say thank you to bf2 hub 2 too.

There are many other players who have the exact same problem, some of them fix the problem by video settings and some (including me) couldn't.

They may work, as they may not... Some games are more sensitive than others (fallout 3 is tragedy then).

You dont have to unnistall anything, just try to install/update dx 9

You can try this too:
Go onto "my documents" > "battlefield 2" > "profiles" > delete the vídeo settings file.
