Just ran auto update again and now my version is 1060. And the server also seems to be at v1060. But I've got one more problem XD. It says unknown steam error is preventing you from connecting.

Exact same here and I never had problems connecting or anything.

I got the game "somewhereeeeeeeeeee" and that got it up and running...however I still can't join our server!!!

after 30 seconds it only says 1.3% out of 100% to join....

I wanted to try this one since the steam workaround did not work on my computer. but the link above does not work.

Do you mean you can't get to the site or do you want to say that you downloaded from that link but then the game doesn't work? Cause the link works for me as in I can go there and download the game.

I meant the link didn't work for me but i found another link and got the game there and still it's slow to connect. like very slow I'll be 90 before I spawn - slow.

after its installed make sure you run the updater as that gives you all the dlc content. you will also have lvl 6 on all the kits.
have fun.

But the auto updater upgrades to v1059 while the server is v1058. This forces me to download maps I already have. I wouldn't mind that but the download speed is so slow that when the map changes it interrupts my download and so I cannot connect to the server at all.

Any way around this?

this is why I haven't updated yet.... I have 1055 atm.

i am updating my game ...let me see it works or not

ARRISSA copy your game to a new location and apply this download using winrar to extract it. then run it then run the updater and use the KF-LAUNCHER to start your game.

this will do everything for you including patching the game.

do not use in your steam folder what ever you do.

ADD THE IP AND PORT LOL.

go to favs right click and click add server enter ip and port.
