ARK: Survival Evolved
« on: November 06, 2016, 20:14:46 PM »
Hey All -

I wanted to know how many of you own ARK or willing to buy it if we put up a server. As of right now we don't have a server but before we venture out into putting up a server I would like to know if it's worth spending the time and resources.

At the time of making this post, the game is $29.99.

I will be running this poll until the end of this month and if we have enough people interested we will put up a server!

-Sonu

I'm wondering if it would be helpful to host the third different RPG survival game while Wurm and Rust are struggling with the population.

I would rather focus on either one or both instead of opening another alternative splitting the playerbase.

While I do agree with what you are saying, I do believe we should venture out into different games. Like you said Wurm, Rust and even Arma 3 are struggling with population, in fact, they don't have a population at all. You may get one or two players once a blue moon but not venturing out to other games and see what works is basically why we're not getting a good player base. Hence like I stated in the original post that if we get enough people interested we will put up a server. Wurm, Rust and Arma 3 were put up with no plans on how to bring players in, they were just put and we hoped for the best. But with this post for ARK, I would like to get a sense on if people are interested and if they are then put a plan together on how to bring players in and keep them coming back.

Well i  would really suggest ya'll to buy rocket league and we should have a server for that game. That game doesnt require a high end pc like ARK SURVIVAL EVOLVED Requires a  high end GPU , Most people in NRNS dont have that good pc ,they can barely run Rust and ARK requires more ram and better gpu than RUST . So please have a look at Rocket league , btw there's no way anyone could cheat in this game :D  These are the requirements for Rocket leage : OS: Windows 7 or Newer.
Processor: 2.4 GHz Dual core.
Memory: 2 GB RAM.
Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 260 or ATI 4850.
DirectX: Version 9.0c.
Network: Broadband Internet connection.
Storage: 5 GB available space.

Now have a look at requirements of ARK SURVIVAL EVOLVED :

Core i5-3470 3.2GHz
FX-8350
GeForce GTX 660
Radeon HD 7870
8 GB
Win 8 64
DX 11
20 GB

The reason I suggested Rocket League( I respect your decision , just an opinion ) is that it requires a low end PC , more people will be able to play it and it's cheap as well : The thing is if we go for games that are cheap and require low end pcs then we will have more people playing them . If we're gonna jump to high end games like arma 3 , ARK , Battleield 1 etc we won't have as many people as we have in low end games .

i respect the angle your taking but the direction of nrns should be in both directions which is why we have multi games running that cover low end and high end of players.

Working hard to bring the best online servers to our community

Agree to both of you. Rocket league is a fun game but a game that is 3v3 or 4v4 doesn't help build a community.

Also, guys, this topic was only made to get a yes or no from everyone about putting up a server for ARK not to get other suggestions. I'm not trying to sound or be rude but if you have a suggestion for a game we should host please make a new topic rather than here cause only a few people might see your suggestions and it will probably be lost in the forums and never seen again. I hear what a lot of you are saying, that we shouldn't host multiple games with the same genre so rather than wasting time putting a suggestion here, just go make a new topic.

Hope no one took offense to that but I rather have a clean topic for a yes or no rather than all of us going back and forth if that makes sense.
