Yes there is a trick but you must modify the command "com_maxfps" directly by editing your iw3mp.exe (you can do a lot of things with it by the way) but most of the competitive anticheats now scan your iw3mp.exe so it's almost impossible to bypass the restriction this way

Here is MY cfg, totally edited by myself 2years ago :p Antares can confirm my cfg has got NIIIICE colors ! (most of you guys will probably not understand a lot in all these command lines but... it took a long time to do it , because there are SO MANY commands in cod4 and there is not a website each time to explain it )

EDIT : as you can see I have filmtweaks for promod, if you want to see what they look like, ask me I changed them to have nice maps, when I was playing competitive, I used hard filmtweaks (for example, all textures were awful with bad colors whilst ennemies were very cleared, so it was easier to see them moving, or when they were far), btw those were allowed, I guarantee it, since I asked CGA admin

filmtweaks wont work in vanilla cod4...
its a setting for developers, can only be enabled if the server or a mod allows it.
hence no cheating possible.

im using them myself in promod, perfectly legit and meant to be used to adjust the game to get the best out of it.

Yes, no filmtweaks on CoD4 Vanilla And almost everyone "good" competitive player is using some filmtweaks , because you can fix the lack of visibility sometimes...so it's great !

Yes Lisek, the objectives are smaller on compass / in the screen (example : BOMB A, etc) . For three reasons :
-More Accurate for position
-You gain a few fps
-your visibility isn't ruined by a BIG "BOMB A DEFEND" in the middle of your screen haha

My scoreboard is changed , it's only because it looks smarter, and I added "ping bars" instead of only the number. I used to play with the Flashbang indicator (like grenade indicator) but I dont play with it anymore
I recommend my config (customizable of course) for anyone who has not a good pc and want to have a "nice" game, and not a very awful game with thes "high fps" config
I can play on 250fps with this pc config :
-Ati Mobility Radeon HD 6370m
-Intel Core I3 M380 @2.53GHz
-4GB of RAM

No, but I use the same bind to toggle my fps, if I add 333, when I want to switch from 125 to 333 , the server will get mad xD (this horrible sound when u use a disallowed command^^)
and I dont have free keys on keyboard so I cant make another bind for it :p anyway I prefer to stay  125-250
