I'm in California near oldman and I have to warn you if you come this way (San Francisco) within the next few days you should think about bringing a breathing mask. We're having issues with fires in the north bay area and due to the changing winds and inversion layer the smoke is thick and heavy. We're having the worst air quality we've had here since the 1970s.
If your trip includes the Napa area (wine country) you should seriously think about canceling that part of your trip (a lot of the area will be off limits due to evacuations and otherwise will be miserable from the smoke and low visibility). :|
Sorry this happened during your trip. This part of California is usually great this time of year (bit windy/cold, but clear and amazing). Hope you stay safe.
