I was checking to see if we could get the two team servers back up and running.

I was hoping to see a City Maps server and a Air Maps server.

I was thinking that with Christmas coming up we may be able to get some players to join our servers.

We can do this if we all give it a chance to work.

I see in the server list the servers with the most players are  servers that have both City maps and Air maps mixed  order or alternating City then an Air map,what do you all think about that idea?

Sounds like a great idea to me. I remember playing a lot on NRNS servers a few years back. Mostly Karkand one, City Maps later when it the replaced the former one. Hope it's gonna work, just started playing BF 2 again.

more maps would be a nice addition. I like large maps, my old hands can't do the fast paced small maps very well. lol.

If yours hand are not fast enough anymore, you can always play as the commander . Played BF 2 a few hours and some things have changed since golden 1.0 version days. I miss increased guns accuracy and damage that were always present on NRNS servers, I didn't see that anywhere now. But I still died mostly not in direct infantry combant, but beeing killed by airstike, jet fighter/heli, APC, tank and so on (lol).

There are many nice maps in BF 2 for aviation fights, like Dalian Plant, Gulf of Oman, Operation Clean Sweep. For armored forces not so many, but it's also possible.

I loved BF 1942 !!! tank maps and sea maps, where you actually drove the ships around and shot at each other !!!

I am not an active community member. I just enjoyed playing on City maps server. And it was the best BF2 gaming experience ever which I can't find anywhere else now.
Maybe it's just me but I find the bot server kind of boring.
Anyway, I would like to know, how much does it cost to keep one EU City maps server up and running and are you ready to maintain it if we find the money?
