Hash Tags
« on: July 07, 2018, 21:36:44 PM »
A few year back I was trying to get some help troubleshooting when I was asked what my hashtag was. They told me how to find it, but I have since forgotten the process.  Any help would be appreciated.

I'm also disputing a PunkBuster ban for using an Aimbot....   [With my K/D ratio, are you kidding.]   While trying to research the ban I went to PBBans.com, I used a 32 digit number which I had saved as my hashtag from years before, (probably not the same computer) . It was that number I entered as my GUID number and was banned for. It somehow duplicated with another GUID number that was using Aimbot.  It's a mess I'm trying to straighten out .

Your 'hashkey' is a hashed version of your CD key. The easiest way to retrieve your BF2 hashkey is probably to use a key hasher (like "BF Easy Key Hasher").

It's very possible that someone else was using your CD key (and was banned for aimbot). CD keys are not the unique identifiers that EA would have liked them to be. Hackers change their key when they get banned and go through them pretty quick.
I am very open to suggestion. If you see an error or room for improvement or just have a comment or query please get in touch with me via forum PM, email, or Discord.

My response to the "hash tag" problem is long. In fact I timed out while responding to this a few minutes ago
. All I can say is that PB has no heart or sole when it comes to having any common sense in making their decisions on whether to ban or not.

My ban was for playing BF4 and not BF2....

I will say that over the years that I have been aware of your clan, I have received many offers to help. I can only assume that is because of the leadership of any clan to set examples themselves.  So thank you Dr. Evil a job well done...
