on ubuntu you hawe softwer name Wine it runs a windows Application software but wil bf2 work i dont know!
I managed to run it by following instructions on WineHQ, but then I couldn't run it full screen.I dual installed Win7 and Ubuntu and tried it on Win7, but it crashes to Desktop with no message at all.I found it strange that I can at least run on Linux, but can't on Win7.
Success. All I had to do is get OpenGL support and BF2Hub to play NRNS and viola.Terrain textures are still botched up (apparently only the light map loads), but all else is fine. Except for lag with my laptop, so I can play only either really bad Sniper or a semi-good Commander. @Attachment
What Linux are you running, may I ask you?Just want to give it a go, didn't use Linux in about 5 years, need to get those Linux skills refreshed in my mind

Apparently the best distro for BF2. I use it as a developer workspace as well, just nice to see I can get my fav games running. You may need to change your graphics driver from default X to proprietary.
