Just came back from a 6 a side youth tournemnt U16/17 and speaks volumes of how the top leagues and its teams are corrupting the game more so in england.

diving - cheating an d yellows cards handed out as if it was  all part of normal game they have no shame or respect for the game they cheat because it is accpeted as part of the game and as it is on playstations around the world kids cannot relate to the real world and grass roots football because of the fanatsy football now played around the world.

players in england We have no pride in pulling on the the 3 lions shirt i played for england vets at wembley once and it filled me pride not how much am i getting paid for this

If Iceland beat England then fair play and i hop wales carry on through the tournament just like liecester winning the premiership and bring back a sense of belife in the english game

Rant over

It was literally the worst tournament I've ever seen.

And the finals were simply boring. Team that didn't win a single match without additional time is european champion.... Well congrats to them but I swear to god I regret staying awake to watch the game yesterday, had only 3hours sleep because of that crappy game...

Portugal didn't lost a game too ;)

Whether aditional time or not, it's still game time!

Thats how it works.

Despite having to play against one of Europe's finest teams, and the referee too. Yes, the referee.
"Oh but Eder "touched" the ball with the hand and the referee punished France" - Well, true, but the kick didn't do any good for Portugal neither any bad for France. The goal was almost 5 minutes after...
Now, on the other hand: what did the referee do to countless fouls and even to the one who got Ronaldo out of the game (and the fault on Ronald, is almost clearly intentional)? NOTHING.
Only after 50 minutes he started to show a yellow card here and there and marking fouls on the French team.

France had everything on their side, still, they were unable to score (St. Rui PatrĂcio :D)
Sure the match was boring, but Portugal held the tactics good. France is an all in team, the players just kick the ball to the front and run faster than the oposing team, nothing spectacular here, just a sprinting marathon.
Then, after the 90 minute mark, French players got tired out, and some of Portugal had still energy to play. And that was the key.

Besides, French fans were unsportsmanlike to the very end, trashtalking Portugal like I've never seen!
And Eifel Tower wasn't even lit with the Portugal colours after the match. (I can describe that in one word).

Quoting "France"; if Portugal was so bad, weak, trash, didn't deserved to be in the finals AND didn't had their best player in the game;
How the hell did we won the finals against a "superhero" team if we are all of the above?
Food for thought.

Cheers, no rage, just my thoughts :)

I agree.

They won. But tournament was played at very very low level in my opinion. And I mean all the teams. Since Croatia and Icelend got effed away there was nothing exciting. Players from all teams were tired and well it kinda look like tournaments I play with my friends at the very street level lol. Not exactly what you would expect to see in European champianship right.
As for portugal...well yea you have it. Just like greece had it lol. Exactly what your Santos said. We don't play a beauthiful football. Were he was right. You don't.
Me and my friends would probably win against you lol :D

But hey. Doesn't matter. You can be proud, it's your first title :) congrats ;)

Most boring Euro ever.

You gain quantity you lose quality, it's now a subject to increase 1 of future Euro's to 32 teams. Welcome Finland :V

Many teams played 100% with all heart left on the pitch and despite being less skilled they won which left impression that top favorites played bad.

The ref is messed up in the head anyway, penalizing brutal, dangerous attacks on best players is absolutely necessary. I don't know how this guy could be picked to run Euro final:

Ronaldo will now take a break for 1 month due to this attack. In the eyes of the refferee everything was ok with that challenge.

Karma is a b***h    :D

Exactly!

I was bored to see Portugal team play, but at least was a tactic that worked.
France has a crappy football too, everyone gets hyped when they pass the midfield running with the ball; but its just that, they just rush to the oposing team's area, nothing special.

I got surprised by Wales though!
Best football in my opinion was played by Germany.

No you couldn't, we got St. Rui PatrĂcio guarding the goal :P
You could attack all you want! :P
