Wrong connection protocol-Rust

I was trying to play Rust in the NRNS servers but always when i tried to log in it  appeared "wrong connection protocol" someone said that it was because i was in the latest version but i dont know how to get to the right version could someone help please

Mate I thought mine was crashing. But  I just leave it for ten mins and it connects. If you have the download I posted in the rust forum it should work. Install may be messed up. You know if your internet time is not syncrenized it won't let you in too. Compatibility xp service pack 3 and run as admin.

I don't think he can connect if he has the latest version installed. Our server is quite a few versions behind. If you leave the console open after you type client.connect ip:port you can read the console output during the loading process to see if it's working.
