Ping Problems on BF2 server
« on: January 26, 2016, 10:28:49 AM »
Hey guys
I was asked in TS to make a post due to massive ping problems on BF2 server.
His TS name was like BILL1. He told me that the Ping of some international players increased up to 200 and more and sometimes half of the players freeze for a while.
Do you know anything about it?

normal we allow ping till be up til 350 if the game not lag we dont remove for high ping if its not infect the game for someone.

The best you can do are ask for help by a BF2 admin in TS if the game lag for you then they can look into the problem for you

1 / if you are in Wifi = high ping is explained
2 / view the distance between your home and the internet can relay = distance away exliqué high ping
3 / multiple connected devices or operating Wifi = explain the high ping
4 / if you use another function while you play (eg registration) = high ping
5 / possible solutions:
Disable anti-aliasing in graphics options.
Lower graphic detail and / or resolution of the display.
Off software occupying bandwidth
If possible and is often the best remedy, connect the computer with an Ethernet cable.
Finally if Wifi find ways to improve the signal. For this approach the box, away from TV, PC and strip power from the Box.

If you are using WIN:
Note that Microsoft has reserved 20% of bandwidth for Internet
To optimize your Internet speed and your ping time in games or simply to give a boost to your connection, follow the steps below:

2 - Start | Run, type "gpedit.msc".
3 - To the left, go to
Computer Configuration
Administrative Templates
Network
QoS Packet Scheduler
4 - Right, right click on Limit bookable bandwidth and choose Properties from the context menu
5 - Make sure that the Enabled radio button is checked and where it says Bandwidth Limit (%), put the counter 0.
6 - Close everything and restart to make sure the changes are supported.
