I downloaded battlelog launcher and when it starts it needs to update and that update is taking forever, i let it for an hour and it didn't update , i tried with antivirus off, i don't know
what to do here, any help?
I think battlelog launcher is working but the game has expired in the properties?

I had the same problem.I uploaded the game from hub then found the file on my computer.I installed balttlelog and the pick the game from the file and I got it to instal that way.

Try BF2Hub. Works good for me.
And download a game from some torrent, if there is no license version.

bf2hub solved the problem, thanks, I can finally play bf2 after a long break, kinda missed all the action from it, the good old days.

I am sure there is something wrong with battlelogs Launcher?The launcher works but game does not load with the launcher.
So if I am correct in my thinking,this is why less players because the try to load the launcher and the game and it freezes up on them just like it did to me!
If this game was not so much fun for me,I would have given up.
But I keep trying and I finally get it going just like I said in my earlier reply.
I am glad you were able to get it going again see you in bF2.

What AV software you use?
Try turning it off.

I don't use any launcher but a shortcut to BF2.exe.
