If NRNS is very public space in real world like association of politicians, newspaper reporters, we must use real name.
But here is not it, but cyber space. No one can force to use our own real name.
If we use real name or many private information in cyber space, there is possibility to be attacked by anonymous person who doesn't have responsibility.
So, basically if some one ask our real name, no need to reply. I think this is a principle in game world, not only NRNS. I have never asked one's real name for these 8 or 9 years from my side in NRNS.

We are all joking now, but this is a very sad situation.
I try to be impartial, but Rey, this time you can't really go against anyone.
Those things about Wolverine you kept writing on your posts, every single time; you could had posted it on your signature , and no one would bat an eye.
I know how the situation was handled, and you shouldn't had gone against Dr. Evil or Satan.
Like Mannisto said, you have to respect in order to be respected.
And, even on the donations post Dr. Evil created, you wrote another thing about your pics... And it was a serious post.
I don't take people here for dishonest people, and if Evil/Satan or any other council makes such a post asking us all for a bit more help, that's a serious post.
Like I said, you could had done it in the signature, like most of us do, and that you be fine. Filling every post you do with it, is not fine.
This time, I think be best action you should had taken was to apologize and move on.
This situation happened because you didn't do what you should have done.

Like sasaken said, no one really uses their real name on games/forums, whatever.
It's a simple mean of "identity protection", so unless it's a racist/insulting name, almost everything is allowed.
"Evil" is the eternal opposite of "Good" (the prefix "Dr." means that Evil got a degree), "Satan" is as unreal as "God".
I just said this two IGNs as examples, as I could have used my own IGN.
